Our Directors
Tom and Cindy Boyd were married in central North Carolina in 1990. Since the early days of their marriage they have been serving the body of Christ together in various ministry positions. They have been involved in leading youth, worship, home church groups and discipleship studies for men and women. Early on in their service to the Lord they saw the need within the body of Christ for discipleship and the needed emphasis on equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.
In 2002, they left the world as they knew it in North Carolina and took the step of faith and moved to Colorado to attend Charis Bible College. The revelation of God’s unconditional love and grace was estabilished in their hearts as this core understanding became the foundation of their lives. They knew upon completion of CBC they would be discipling others but didn’t know exactly where or how.
During Tom’s apprenticeship with CBC in November 2004, God spoke a word to their heart saying that they would be moving to Atlanta, Georgia to start their ministry. Within days they were told by the director of the school that he wanted to start a CBC in Atlanta. In June of 2005 Tom and Cindy stepped out in faith believing God and moved to Atlanta to start Charis Bible College.
In August 2005 they opened the doors to CBC Atlanta and their desires to be involved with "equipping the saints" are being fulfilled. Tom and Cindy want to invite you to come and meet the students of CBC and experience the rich teaching that happens daily here in Atlanta. "We know that 1. Immersing yourself in the word of God, 2. Getting a greater understanding of God’s heart, nature and character towards you, and 3. Growing in your understanding of your identity in Christ, that these truths will transform you and your life and effect the lives around you. Your step of faith to attend CBC and embracing these truths will go far in making you the minister God called you to be. I encourage you to come join us."
